Love Limited Edition Size 50 x 75cm on Canvas

This piece is titled “Love”. I’m drawn to exploring the dynamics of couples and expressing those connections symbolically through my animal paintings. In this work, the male seahorse gently holds the female by the tail as they share an intentional gaze, looking into each other’s eyes with tenderness. Their spiral tails intertwine, representing a deep, affectionate bond. This is what love feels like to me. The original piece was created with water. By laying down even blocks of intense colour, in this case, one of my favourite hues, burnt sienna, I then use water to move the pigment, shaping and revealing the forms of the animals. ***Please note: the colour of this print is beautifully rich and deep, much closer to the photograph of the painting on the easel. – Title: Love – Orientation: Landscape – Materials: Print on stretched canvas from my original watercolour painting – Frame: Stretched on canvas
