This antique solid 1-ply shell drum has been customized and is an absolute vibe. The bottom hoop and butt plate are original with appropriate aging. It has a newer tube lugs, top hoop, replaced clips, and tension rods that look to be re-painted to match the hardware, and a period correct nickel snare strainer that operates smoothly. The interior has aged well with beautiful maple re-rings and is stamped “BLACK” indicating it’s original factory finish, which may have been refreshed at some point judging from the imprints under the tube lugs from where different lugs were once installed. Bearing edges are true and original. This snare tunes up well and would be a fantastic addition to any great studio or collection. Enjoy!
