Description Les Indigenes Chenin Blanc is an organic, minimal intervention white from Artisans Partisans, grown on an elevated limestone plateau full of pebbles in the Languedoc and vinified to express the freshness and minerality of that terrain as directly as possible. The whole bunch pressing gives a lovely mix of ripe and dried fruit on the nose, apricot at the centre, with a stony, fresh mineral quality running underneath. The palate is rich and textured, with regular lees stirring in steel and partial ageing in older barrels adding fullness without obscuring the fruit or the site. Fermented with indigenous yeast and no added sulphites. A natural partner for seafood, Asian dishes, or slightly aged cheeses. Artisans Partisans brings together four organically farmed estates between the Corbieres and Limoux appellations in the south of France, rooted in the Bories family heritage. All wines are certified organic, fermented with indigenous yeast, and produced without added sulphites, with biodiversity, agroforestry, and respect for the natural environment at the core of everything they do. Chenin Blanc is a variety more commonly associated with the Loire Valley, but on the limestone plateau of the Languedoc it finds a warm, sun-drenched expression while retaining the freshness and acidity that define it at its best.
