DAVID REYNAUD “GRANIT” COLLINES RHODANNIENES

$ 44.40

Description Rich and aromatic with the distinctive character of Viognier, expect peach, apricot and white blossom on the nose with a textured, generous palate and a long finish. A wine that balances richness with freshness. Pair with roasted white meats, spiced dishes, langoustines or a ripe cheese. Domaine Les Bruyères was founded in 1955 by Georges Reynaud, who planted 20 hectares of vines in Beaumont-Monteux on a gentle slope by the banks of the Isère River. For decades the fruit had a single destination: the local cooperative. That all changed when his grandson David Reynaud took over at the age of 28, built a new winery from scratch and set about making wines on his own terms, free from the additives and interventions of conventional winemaking. Organic farming followed in 2003 and biodynamic certification in 2005. The estate has since earned serious recognition, with awards from Decanter, Wine Spectator and the Hachette Guide among others. Grape: 100% Viognier. IGP Collines Rhodaniennes. Certified organic by Ecocert. Hand harvested, 100% destemmed, direct pneumatic pressing with cold settling before fermentation. Aged for 24 months on fine lees in concrete eggs. Produced only in optimal vintages.
